Chemistry for the Living axis

Coordinators: Sylvie Ducki, Professor / Sophie Faure, Researcher

Research topics

The work of the axis is focused on two main themes:
  • synthesis of new therapeutic molecules, primarily for the the treatment of:
    • cancer: biological enzyme and receptor inhibitors, chelates for imagery and therapy and peptidomimetics
    • pain: rational approach (identified therapeutic target) and traditional approach (plant based molecules)
  • development of elaboration and characterization processes of biomaterials (inorganics or hybrids polymers). Particular attention is paid to materials/biological systems interfaces, for diagnosis and/or therapeutic applications (functionalized nanoparticles, Lamellar Double Hydroxydes/Enzyme assembly, bioceramics)
